Nominate a Valentine

 January, 2008

The national organization SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted) urges you to honor an educator who is truly making a difference in the life of a gifted individual. The organization has established a recognition program called The SENG Honor Roll. According to Amy Price, Executive Director of SENG, a nomination provides a valued educator with national recognition at Valentine’s Day and throughout the year.  All educators – teachers, administrators, support staff, and university professors – are eligible for nomination to The SENG Honor Roll. In addition to recognizing an educator of the gifted, the program also raises funds to support SENG.

Educators nominated to The SENG Honor Roll receive:

  • A listing on the national SENG website that includes the letter of nomination

  • Congratulatory acknowledgement in the program book for this summer's 25th Annual SENG Conference

  • A one-year complimentary subscription to 2e Newsletter

  • A certificate sent to the district/academic institution for formal presentation to the educator

  • Information about SENG services and The SENG Honor Roll

  • Entrance in a drawing for one of three free registrations to the 25th “Silver Anniversary” SENG Conference, where they will be honored at a special dinner.

Price says that the SENG Honor Roll is a great way to reward a valued educator – especially on Valentine's Day! Visit www.SENGifted.org for more information and the online nomination form.

Valentine's messages will be accepted through Friday, February 14, 2008.

Full disclosure: 2e Newsletter editor Linda Neumann serves on the board of directors of SENG, and we wholly endorse its activities.
