The Spotlight on 2e Seriescover of booklet

The publishers of 2e: Twice-Exceptional Newsletter offer a series of easy-to-understand booklets filled with information on recognizing and addressing the combination of giftedness and learning deficits or disorders in children. Use this series to expand your own understanding of twice exceptionality or to help others better understand these unique and challenging young people. Find out more!

For Subscribers: From Past Issues

The May 2009 issue of 2e Newsletter contained four articles on differentiated instruction as it can apply to and benefit twice-exceptional students, plus "Fighting for Fape," one of our favorite stories (and one that ended well). Paid subscribers can find the content in the subscriber-only area.

Findings from the Web

FOR BRAIN MAVENS. One of our favorite sites for neuroscience is run by the Dana Foundation. They often publish insightful and presumably authoritaive articles on the brain that are of interest to those who raise, teach, and counsel 2e kids. Find the site.

RESOURCES. A clinician just pointed us to the Child Mind Institute (thanks, Kim). Of particular interset to those in the 2e community may be the "Get Information" section of the site, with a symptom checker for LDs and mental heath, a mental heath guide, developmental milestones, "quick facts," and a glossary. Find the Child Mind Institute. (Updated 2/4/12)
